Lexington, MA – The gymnasium at Lexington Christian Academy (LCA) was filled with energy and excitement as four schools came together for the 2nd Annual New England Christian School (NECS) Middle School Basketball Tournament. Teams from LCA, Boston Trinity Academy (BTA), Abundant Life Christian School (ALCS), and North Shore Christian School (NSCS) competed in a day of spirited competition, teamwork, and fellowship.

Boys Basketball Tournament Recap

The boys' tournament saw LCA and ALCS face off in a thrilling semifinal match-up, with LCA securing a victory to advance to the championship game. On the other side of the bracket, BTA edged out NSCS in a hard-fought game to punch their ticket to the finals.

The championship match-up between LCA and BTA was a battle from start to finish. In a closely contested game, BTA emerged victorious with a three-point win over LCA to claim the championship title. Meanwhile, NSCS was recognized for their outstanding sportsmanship throughout the tournament, receiving the Team Sportsmanship Award as voted on by the coaches.

Girls Basketball Tournament Recap

The girls' tournament followed a similar path, with LCA defeating ALCS in the semifinal round and BTA overcoming NSCS to set up a championship showdown. In the finals, LCA put together a strong performance to take down BTA and secure the tournament championship.

Just like their boys' team, the NSCS girls demonstrated outstanding character and received the Team Sportsmanship Award, a testament to their positive attitude and respect for the game.
