Lexington Christian Academy Girls’ Soccer WIns 2024 NEPSAC Class D Title
11/18/24

The Lexington Christian Academy girls’ soccer team won the 2024 NEPSAC Class D final against the top-ranked Vermont Academy. The two squads went toe-to-toe, in a rematch of the 2021 NEPSAC Class D final.

#7 Greene scored three quick goals. Vermont Academy’s Carmen Whitney scored twice to narrow Lexington Christian’s lead, but Greene could not be slowed down. Despite a late Vermont comeback, Greene’s fourth goal officially put the match out of reach.

With a stellar defensive performance by the defensive front including 12 goalkeeper save by Junior GK Hanson the Lions were able to secure their second NEPSAC championship in four years and their third Girls Soccer championship.

“(Greene is) absolutely unbelievable. Such a dynamic player, and such a great leader on this team. Scoring four goals to win a championship — it’s amazing,” said Lexington Christian coach Kathryn Kim. “We never give up. Whether they score first, we score first, these girls always play a full 80 minutes. It’s non-negotiable for us; they’re just so resilient.”
