Winsor's Caroline Eielson ’24 Achieves a #1 U.S. Ranking in Squash
The Winsor School and the Winsor squash team couldn't be more proud of student-athlete Caroline Eielson ’24 for achieving the #1 spot in the U.S. ranking over the summer. Caroline's extremely hard work has paid off as she reached the highest possible ranking spot in her age group, U17 in the U.S.
Caroline also competed as a member of Team USA at the 2022 Pan American Junior Squash Championships in Bolivia in August. Playing at an altitude of over 8,000 feet, Team USA competed against seven north, central, and South American nations at the tournament. Caroline earned a silver medal in individuals, a gold medal in team, and a bronze medal in doubles.
“This is a first for a Winsor student in the history of the sport at Winsor. We are so proud of Caroline’s accomplishments in squash this summer and look forward to her continued success in the sport,” said Director of Athletics Sherren Granese.
Caroline is a member of Winsor’s Varsity Squash team, coached by Szilvia Szombati,
who finished in sixth place in the U.S. High School Team Squash Championships
in Philadelphia this past March.
Congratulations Caroline on this historic achievement!
